You want to do everything you can to keep your loved one in their own home (the place they love) for as long as possible.
AVERio’s technology can be used either standalone or alongside care at home services to help give your loved one the support and independence they need, whilst providing you with peace of mind knowing there’s a digital guardian helping 24/7.
Our team has over 30 years experience working within adult health & social care. If you’re concerned about your elderly loved one living alone, chat to one of our friendly team who can help advise the best way that AVERio can help.
Our fall detection technology works without wearables, without the need for buttons and without cameras or microphones.
Fall detection sensors are mounted in the corner of a room (usually installed in under 2 minutes) and automatically alert you within 60s of a fall taking place.
Our bed monitoring option automatically detects when a person is in or out of bed. Alerts can then be raised if your loved one gets out of bed in the night, or if they do not return to bed within a set time that you define.
In most cases, a mains powered fall sensor is not suitable for installation into a bathroom. In order to provide protection in this area, AVERio uses a combination of motion sensors placed both inside and outside the bathroom to alert you if your loved one doesn’t come out of the bathroom within a set amount of time you define.
If your loved one is at risk of “walking with purpose”, AVERio’s door monitoring coupled with motion sensors in the house can help to determine if a person has left the property.
If the door is opened and subsequently no motion is detected from the sensors in the house, AVERio will raise an alert and notify you via our mobile app.
If walking with purpose is particularly frequent, or high risk (walking to/near hazards on a frequent basis), a GPS wearable might be an option to consider. Capabilities include being able to configure a geofence around the property which if breached, will raise an alert.
Additionally, it’s possible to locate the device on demand, providing it is being worn. GPS wearables are not suitable for everyone since they require frequent charging, and the user may not be comfortable wearing a watch-like device.
Our bed monitoring option not only detects when a person is in or out of bed but helps contextualise how much time is spent in bed per night, averaged over a week.
This can help identify changes in time spent in bed, but in combination with other sensors, it can also help you understand how many times your loved one is out of bed at night and, what other rooms they may be spending time in (useful for those at risk of restless walking around the house at night).
If your loved one is up and about in the night resulting in broken sleep or restlessness, AVERio makes it possible to build a clearer picture of what it is they’re doing. This can help identify specific behaviours which may be able to assist care teams and healthcare professionals in identifying evolving care needs.
AVERio is a flexible logic based system which is capable of addressing a wide variety of risks and concerns that you might have about your loved one.
If you’re unsure what the best combination of sensors is for your specific concerns or risks, chat with our experienced team who’ll be happy to help.
