AVERio Alerts on iPhone

How AVERio Helps

One night, Zainab left her bedroom at 10.45pm and went to the bathroom. After 10 minutes, she still had not returned – but fortunately, Amanpreet had set up tailored AVERio alerts for such an event. Upon receiving a notification, Amanpreet visited his mother’s house to discover she had fallen. As her pendant alarm was on her bedside table (somewhere she leaves it every night), Zainab had been unable to call for help.

Door Sensors

Recommended Sensors & Alerts

After a consultation with Amanpreet, AVERio recommended a door sensor for the bathroom door and movement sensors for the landing and Zainab’s bedroom. These sensors would alert Amanpreet if his mother had not returned to her bedroom from the bathroom after a specified amount of time.

AVERio also recommended tailored time alerts for the bathroom door and movement alerts for the landing during the evening and night. These helpful alerts would send Amanpreet a notification message and inform him of any abnormal events.

How has this made a difference?

“I received a notification alert at 11pm one evening, alerting me that my mother had entered the bathroom 15 minutes earlier. As there had been no movement on the landing since, it indicated that she had not returned to bed. I immediately went round to visit, to find out that she had fallen in the bathroom and could not get up.

If I had not received the message, my mother would have been forced to stay on the floor all night until her carers arrived the following morning. I’m very aware that investing in a AVERio system stopped the situation from becoming considerably more serious. My mother may have been admitted to hospital at the least, which is something I cannot bear to think about.”
